The Galactic Inteligence Agency reports diectly to the Galactic Tribunal, the body that answers to the Galactic Federation of Planets. The Federation ensures the safety of the galaxy and its citizens. It utilizes GIA posts that are stratgcically positioned throughout the galaxy such as the one here on Earth.
On Earth, the GIA monitors and controlls the intelligence agencies located about the planet. These agencies work in coordination with the GIA to provide intelligence that is mission critical to the security of the planet and the rest of the galaxy.
